Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a curious DevOps Engineer to design, scale, and operate cloud infrastructure across multiple providers. You will own CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and security posture, contributing to resilient, observable systems.

You should bring 5+ years in DevOps/SRE, hands-on IaC experience, and strong scripting in Go/Python/JS, with knowledge of AWS or other clouds and container orchestration like Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps / SRE.
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of AWS services (or other clouds).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines from scratch & supporting existing ones.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog).
• Coding skills in at least one programming language (Go, JS, Python).
• Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and infrastructure monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS (and other cloud providers).
• Build and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Drive automation across build, deployment, and operational tasks.
• Maintain security standards of infrastructure (containers, application dependencies, terraform dependencies, firewalls, service meshes, etc.).
• Participation in on call rotations (primarily during your daytime).
