Avenga is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Córdoba, Argentina, to join a banking sector client and oversee deployment and management of mission‑critical apps. You’ll drive stability, scalability, and security across environments with strong automation, CI/CD, and scripting skills.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in DevOps, solid Windows/Linux/AIX administration, and fluent Spanish with intermediate English.

Formación

• 5+ years of DevOps experience deploying and supporting production‑grade apps.
• Strong admin knowledge across Windows Server, Linux, AIX, IIS, and basic AD.
• Proficiency with CI/CD and DevOps tools, Azure DevOps and Jenkins, Git workflows.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python; strong troubleshooting mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy and manage applications and infrastructure across Dev/QA/Prod environments.
• Lead Release Management: plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute releases.
• Verify environment readiness and stability before/after deployments with controls.
• Provide hands‑on deployment support and post‑deployment stabilization.
• Investigate and troubleshoot incidents related to apps and infra, improve processes.
• Collaborate to automate deployments and strengthen delivery pipelines.
• Implement remediation from security audits and maintain changes documentation.

In Argentina (Córdoba) we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a banking‑sector client and play a key role in deploying and managing mission‑critical applications. This position requires strong expertise in infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD practices to ensure stability, scalability, and security across environments.

Core skills you’ll bring

• 5+ years of DevOps experience supporting and releasing production‑critical applications, including incident troubleshooting and technical support;
• Strong administration knowledge across Windows Server, Linux, AIX, IIS, and basic Active Directory, with working knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, and SQL;
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and communications;
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins, plus Git/version‑control practices;
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python;
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills, with the ability to follow controlled procedures during critical implementations;
• Collaborative, proactive, and results‑driven, with experience working in multidisciplinary teams;
• Advanced student or graduate in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
• Fluent in Spanish and intermediate English proficiency.

Nice‑to‑have

• Containerization and orchestration with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift;
• Web infrastructure and networking: Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, and digital certificates;
• Cloud and CI/CD experience with Azure and/or AWS, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure automation;
• Interest or experience in applying AI to technology or operational processes;
• Background in banking, fintech, or other mission‑critical, highly regulated environments.

The impact you’ll create

• Execute application and infrastructure deployment, configuration, and validation activities across Development, QA, and Production environments;
• Participate in the Release Management process, including planning, coordination, monitoring, and execution of releases;
• Validate environment readiness and operational status before and after deployments through technical controls and basic testing;
• Provide hands‑on support during deployment windows and contribute to post‑deployment stabilization;
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze incidents related to applications, infrastructure, and deployment processes;
• Collaborate with technical teams to automate deployment activities and continuously improve delivery processes;
• Implement remediation actions arising from vulnerabilities identified through security audits, assessments, or testing;
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure full traceability of implemented changes;
• Support the stability, reliability, and security of critical banking systems.
