Proofpoint seeks a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics. This hybrid position sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infra, building cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and AWS Glue/Athena-based workflows.

You will strengthen the observability stack, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security and data teams to ship scalable data products with reliability and speed.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or platform engineering with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and S3 data services; IaC tooling experience expected.
• Strong CI/CD experience and container orchestration knowledge.
• Excellent communication to translate ops concerns into clear trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines and platforms.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead incident responses for data platform outages.
• Collaborate with data scientists, security, and engineering teams to scale infra.
