Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and rapid delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on AWS-first infrastructure.

You will own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and DataOps self-service to accelerate data product delivery while ensuring security and operational excellence. Strong collaboration with data scientists and security teams is required.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools - Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Experience with container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes) and Docker.
• Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) for data and platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own the observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA compliance.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and perform root-cause analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers on DevOps and data engineering practices.
