Yalo Inc. is seeking a Sr. Staff Data Engineer to own the data platform that powers analytics, dashboards, and AI agents. You will define architecture and be the deepest technical authority, ensuring reliability and fast pipelines across Looker, Power BI, and IRIS-like systems.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Business Analytics, and ML/AI teams to keep the data flowing end-to-end while shaping governance, standards, and a scalable semantic layer.

Formación

• 8+ years in Data/Analytics Engineering with staff/principal ownership.
• Deep expertise with modern data stacks and real-time pipelines.
• Experience owning architecture and cross-team standards.
• Strong Python, SQL, and IaC (Terraform) skills.

Responsabilidades

• Own and evolve the data platform with 99.9% uptime and SLAs.
• Define modular, real-time, agent-ready architecture for dashboards and AI.
• Own the semantic layer and prevent dashboard sprawl.
• Lead data governance and access control frameworks.
• Define interfaces between Data Eng and Business Analytics.
• Drive cost governance across BigQuery, dbt, Kafka, and Airflow.
• Mentor engineers and set technical standards.
• Partner with Engineering, Analytics PM, and ML/AI to run end-to-end pipelines.
