Job summary

PwC Argentina is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms handling large volumes of financial and transactional data. The role emphasizes Python, SQL, Spark, AWS, and modern data architectures, with a strong DataOps and governance angle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data processing and software development.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architectures.
• Expertise in AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, EventBridge, Firehose, Lambda).
• Experience with data orchestration and warehousing (Airflow, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Experience designing real-time streaming architectures (Kafka or Kinesis) and dbt.
• Strong Git, CI/CD, IaC, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-throughput data pipelines.
• Design and optimize cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Product Managers.
• Implement data quality frameworks, automated testing, monitoring, and alerting.
• Promote DataOps practices including CI/CD and IaC.
• Champion data governance, privacy, and security across data storage and compute layers.
• Mentor junior and mid-level Data Engineers.
