Job summary

Webflow seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms supporting large volumes of financial and transactional data. The role emphasizes Python, SQL, Apache Spark, AWS, and modern data‑engineering architectures.

Candidates must reside exclusively in Argentina, Brazil, or Uruguay. You will work with a global team, build robust data pipelines, and mentor junior engineers in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing and software development.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, etc.).
• Familiarity with Airflow or similar DAG-based tools and data warehousing (Snowflake/Redshift/BigQuery).
• Experience with real-time streaming (Kafka/Kinesis) and dbt.
• DevOps/DataOps practices with Git, Docker, CI/CD and IaC (Terraform).
• Advanced English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-throughput data pipelines for financial data.
• Scale cloud data warehouse and lakehouse architectures for large volumes.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver data solutions.
• Implement data quality, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data integrity and SLAs.
• Promote DataOps practices, including CI/CD and IaC for data systems.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and security, including GDPR/LGPD compliance.
• Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers and promote best practices.
