Job summary

Medallia, a leader in Experience Management, seeks a Senior AR Collections Analyst to strengthen aging receivables and drive cash collection performance. Hybrid role; 3 days onsite in Buenos Aires area. Requires 3+ years in B2B collections and fluent English.

Candidate will partner with Finance, Sales, and customers, using NetSuite, Salesforce, and Tesorio to optimize processes and reporting. SaaS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with AR Collections Manager to meet cash targets and improve dept. efficiency.
• Research and analyze customer accounts before contacting for past due balances.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email, or online meetings regarding invoices.
• Resolve challenging collections issues using knowledge of collections practices.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and customers to resolve billing issues.
• Forecast accurate collection estimates for monthly/quarterly forecasts.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

The Role and Team

A phenomenal opportunity exists within Medallia’s Accounts Receivable team as we are looking for a Senior AR Collections Analyst to contribute and support within our specialized Collections team. This highly visible role will focus on improving the overall financial health of Medallia’s aging receivables via driving towards departmental goals and objectives. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills in addition to analytical reporting and presentation skills. This role will be reporting directly to the Accounts Receivable Senior Manager.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to meet cash target requirements, improve departmental efficiency, and make suggestions for inter-departmental improvements.
• Research and analyze customer accounts prior to making customer contact for past due balance.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, or online meeting regarding outstanding invoices and maintain detailed collection notes.
• Successfully resolve difficult or complex collections challenges by utilizing technical knowledge of collections, critical thinking, and procedural guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Sales, and our customers to resolve billing and collection issues.
• Help with forecasting accurate collection estimates for the month or quarter to the Finance team for use in company forecasts.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing duties as needed.

Candidates based in the Buenos Aires vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in B2B Collections
• Professional fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. or B.A Degree in Finance related field
• Proficient with NetSuite and Salesforce highly desirable; Tesorio a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Google Suite tools
• SaaS industry experience
• Intermediate experience using MS Excel; Ptables, VLOOKUP, sumif, concatenate, etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Credits and Debits), collections related policies, SOX controls, and industry best practices and procedures
• Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations skills (i.e. presenting status updates and reporting to management, senior management and/or customers.)
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
