AgileEngine seeks a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer to operate and improve the cloud infrastructure and reliability layers behind an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

The role requires 5+ years in Cloud Engineering/DevOps/SRE, hands-on AWS EKS and Kubernetes, Argo Workflows administration, and strong English communication skills. Join a people-first culture with LatAm coverage and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and AWS EKS including workload operations and observability.
• Hands-on experience administering Argo Workflows or similar workflow platforms.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and Git-based delivery.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and incident-routing tools (e.g., Splunk, PagerDuty).
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash or similar scripting languages.
• Ability to lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with data/security stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; client-facing ability.
• Availability for LatAm service window and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Cloud/DevOps service tower during LatAm coverage window.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting the Data Platform (EKS, S3, EventBridge, etc.).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads and Argo Workflows including deployment and troubleshooting.
• Define and improve standards for IaC, CI/CD, and environment consistency (Terraform, Git-based).
• Lead observability improvements across infra and data workloads with runbooks and alerts.
• Improve alert routing and escalation across Splunk, Opsgenie, PagerDuty, Teams, etc.
• Lead major incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
• Design reliability improvements including auto-remediation and automation of repetitive tasks.
• Track service metrics like availability, SLA, alert volumes, deployment outcomes.
• Ensure HIPAA/GDPR/FDA-regulated operational practices and proper access control.
• Create runbooks, procedures, architecture context, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and promote best practices across the team.
• Participate in on-call rotation outside staffed hours.
