Job summary

AgileEngine, a remote-friendly team, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain backend services, automate workflows, and integrate with Salesforce APIs to support a GTM data platform and AI-assisted sales automation initiatives.

You will develop REST APIs and webhook-based lead routing, work on AI SDR tooling using Java or Python, and contribute to an agile sprint environment with Jira. 4+ years of backend experience required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience (Java OR Python).
• REST API integration and webhook development experience.
• Experience with CRM automation and lead routing systems.
• Familiarity with agile delivery and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and automation workflows (Java / Python / microservices).
• Develop and integrate with Salesforce APIs (EVO, Omnichannel, lead assignment rules).
• Support AI SDR automation — including Ghost User setup, Calendly integration, webhook-based lead routing.
• Contribute to the GTM data platform codebase.
• Work within an agile sprint process with a JIRA-based backlog (GTMDR project).
