Prometeo Talent is partnering with a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior Backend Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python, with a strong focus on distributed systems and AI-enabled development workflows.

You’ll own features end-to-end, collaborate with a highly technical team, and apply state-of-the-art AI tools to boost productivity while delivering reliable, production-ready systems.

Qualificações

• 8+ years of software engineering or backend development.
• 5+ years of Python production-grade backend experience.
• Strong Java experience.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based development in production environments preferred.
• Experience building AI-driven features or agentic workflows.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Advanced English level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features and services through design, implementation, monitoring, and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems prioritizing reliability, performance, and maintainability.

• Improve system performance, scalability, and operational efficiency across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and drive key technical decisions as the company scales.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
