The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and Python, with emphasis on distributed systems, data pipelines, and AI-assisted workflows.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in software engineering, strong Java/Python expertise, and experience with AI-driven features in production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering or backend development experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Python, building and maintaining production-grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based application development in production.
• Experience building AI-driven features, LLM integrations, or agentic workflows.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with databases, message queues, and data processing pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven experience building, maintaining, optimizing, and improving products after launch.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to thrive in startup environments.
• Advanced English level

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems involving databases, APIs, message queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features and services throughout their lifecycle from design to monitoring.
• Build production-ready systems with emphasis on reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system performance and scalability across the platform.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions as the company scales.
• Continuously improve development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
