Prometeo Talent is building a fast-growing US-based cybersecurity startup's engineering team. We seek a Senior Backend Engineer who thrives in startup environments and enjoys building scalable systems from the ground up.

The role requires deep backend expertise with ownership mindset, strong Java and Python skills, and experience with AI-driven features and distributed architectures. Remote LATAM work is offered.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in software/backend engineering.
• 5+ years of professional Python experience in production systems.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Hands-on AI/LLM-based development experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with distributed, scalable architectures and async processing.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features end-to-end from design to monitoring and optimization.
• Ensure production-grade reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring quality.
