Fudo is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python, in a fully remote setup across LATAM.

You will take ownership of distributed systems, work with AI-assisted development workflows, and collaborate with a fast-moving team to deliver reliable, production-grade solutions.

This role emphasizes autonomy, strong ownership, and the opportunity to shape the architecture as the company scales.

Formación

• 8+ years of software/backend experience.
• Strong backend expertise in Java and Python.
• Experience with distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience building AI-driven features and LLM integrations.
• Advanced English level and startup/fast-paced adaptability.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python.
• Develop distributed systems with databases, APIs, queues, and data pipelines.
• Own features end-to-end from design to monitoring and optimization.
• Build production-ready systems with reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Improve performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to speed delivery without compromising quality.
• Participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions.
• Continuously improve development processes and engineering standards.
