Job summary

SQUIRE in Buenos Aires is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and maintain high-quality features for our Commander platform. The role is hybrid, with in-office days in CABA on Tuesdays and Thursdays, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams, participate in code reviews, and help shape platform development through interview panels. Strong backend skills, English communication, and the ability to work effectively in a remote team are

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of architecture patterns, frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience with Git and other version control systems.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to collaborate in remote teams.
• English communication is essential.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality product features for the Commander web application.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to support the application.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to interview panels for platform development hiring.
• Work closely with Engineering Manager following guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and other technical issues.
