OneSeven Tech is a Miami-headquartered AI-enabled software agency seeking a senior backend engineer to build a HIPAA‑compliant platform on AWS. You will own the integration layer, check engine, and encrypted data store, delivering end‑to‑end with a small senior team.

Remote from Latin America, with a 6‑month contract leading to full‑time employment. Competitive USD compensation, PTO, and referral rewards are offered.

Formación

• Senior backend engineer with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Strong PostgreSQL and REST API design skills.
• Solid AWS experience (Fargate/ECS, SQS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch).
• Ability to implement infrastructure-as-code designed by an architect.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and handling messy data.
• Nice to have EDI (270/271) or clearinghouse integration, event-driven pipelines, HIPAA/PHI handling, Terraform or AWS CDK.

Responsabilidades

• Build backend and integrations per architect's design, including HIPAA-based AWS foundation (infrastructure-as-code).
• Implement the clearinghouse eligibility integration: build 270 request, call REST API, parse 271 response.
• Develop a SQS-driven scheduler for daily eligibility sweeps and enrollment polling.
• Build and maintain encrypted coverage data store and alerting mechanisms.
• Own end-to-end integration-path testing and validation.
• Collaborate in daily standups, delivering to the front-end/automation engineer.
