Solvo Global is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a HealthTech platform focused on unifying hospital systems into a single intelligent ecosystem. You will design scalable backend architectures, build high-performance APIs, and lead distributed systems initiatives in mission-critical healthcare environments.

The role involves owning backend strategy, collaborating with AI/ML teams, and guiding architecture decisions while ensuring security, reliability, and interoperability with standards

Formación

• 6+ years of Backend Engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Distributed Systems and Backend Architecture.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures.
• Proven experience building REST APIs and integrations.
• Background in healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA/PHI).

Responsabilidades

• Design and own backend architecture for a large-scale distributed platform.
• Build, maintain, and optimize high-performance APIs and microservices.
• Develop systems for workflow orchestration, data processing, and integrations.
• Lead technical decisions involving databases, messaging systems, cloud services, and platform infrastructure.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance across production environments.
• Integrate third-party platforms through APIs, FHIR standards, and interoperability frameworks.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to build AI-powered workflows.
• Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and observability strategies.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents with root-cause analysis.

What You'll Do

• Design and own backend architecture for a large-scale distributed platform
• Build, maintain, and optimize high-performance APIs and microservices
• Develop systems for workflow orchestration, data processing, and integrations
• Lead technical decisions involving databases, messaging systems, cloud services, and platform infrastructure
• Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance across production environments
• Integrate third-party platforms through APIs, FHIR standards, and interoperability frameworks
• Collaborate with AI and Machine Learning teams to build AI-powered workflows
• Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and observability strategies
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, performing root-cause analysis and implementing preventative solutions

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Backend Engineering
• Strong expertise in Distributed Systems and Backend Architecture
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures
• Proven experience building production-grade REST APIs and integrations
• Strong background in System Design, Scalability, and Performance Optimization
• Experience working in Healthcare, HealthTech, or regulated environments
• Knowledge of HIPAA and PHI compliance requirements
