Baker Hughes in Argentina seeks a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services to drive the commercial strategy in the Vaca Muerta basin and manage the full sales cycle with a strong emphasis on technical engagement and customer value.

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality, while building relationships with key operators and drilling contractors to maximize growth and long-term contracts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, motors, RSS or BHA optimization.
• Strong ability to interpret wellbore data and drilling KPIs.
• Experience with operators in shale basins like Vaca Muerta.
• Proven ability to influence engineering and procurement stakeholders.
• Excellent communication translating technical info into commercial value.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling Services in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, technical scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, Capex, and drilling contractors.
• Deliver technical presentations, performance reviews, and post-well analyses to show service value.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality and satisfaction.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals for long-term business.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence in CRM.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE and company standards across all activities.
