Job summary

Bluelight is seeking an experienced Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and system reliability. You will manage Kubernetes (GKE), Terraform IaC, GitHub Actions workflows, and secure IAM deployments (Keycloak) across multi-cloud environments.

You will design reusable CI/CD pipelines with GHCR images, implement platform security, and drive reliability. This senior role requires strong English communication and LatAm-friendly OT hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or SRE.
• Strong hands-on experience operating AWS infrastructure in production.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.
• Hands-on experience administering Argo Workflows or comparable workflow orchestration platforms.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and IaC practices.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and production release processes.
• Strong monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident-routing tools like Splunk, PagerDuty, Opsgenie.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Ability to make well-reasoned technical decisions and drive improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Availability to work within LatAm window (ET).
• Nice to have: data platform observability, HIPAA/regulatory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of a new cloud environment within AWS or another cloud provider.
• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure supporting data platforms (EKS, S3, etc.).
• Administer Kubernetes workloads, Argo Workflows, and cluster operations.
• Define and improve IaC standards, configuration management, CI/CD, and release practices (Terraform, Git).
• Enhance observability across infrastructure and data workloads with linked runbooks.
• Improve alert routing and incident response workflows across tools.
• Lead or support major incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Develop runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials; mentor engineers.
