Darwoft is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join our LATAM remote team. You will own complex, production-grade software, shaping architecture and driving delivery with AI-assisted tooling like Claude Code and Codex.

You will navigate large codebases, build scalable backend services, APIs, and data models, and continuously improve testing, reliability, and deployments. You are a builder with strong technical judgment, capable of independent work in a remote, product-focused

Formación

• Production software systems experience required.
• Strong fundamentals: architecture, system design, debugging, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack with modern languages/frameworks.
• Web apps and SaaS products experience.
• APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Relational databases and production data environments.
• Automated testing and modern software practices.
• Cloud environments, CI/CD, deployments, and production operations.
• Reasoning about trade-offs and pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Owns work and works independently in evolving product environment.
• Product mindset: understand why to build something.

Responsabilidades

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new capabilities across the SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvements.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI agents extensively.
• Leverage AI to explore code, generate/refactor code, debug, and write tests.
• Build backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the application stack when needed.
• Strengthen testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Improve workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot issues across app, data, and infrastructure layers.
• Balance speed with long-term maintainability.
• Work with product leadership to translate problems into solutions.
• Help a small team achieve greater development leverage via AI-assisted engineering.
