Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst in a hybrid role based in Argentina. You will lead close processes, prepare journal entries, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and local standards while converting reports to USD.

Responsibilities include statutory reporting, external audits, and SOX controls. Strong Excel and SAP S/4HANA Finance skills are required, with 3–5 years of related experience and English proficiency to coordinate with regional teams.

Qualifications

• CPA degree with strong knowledge of Argentine accounting standards.
• Experience with inflation accounting adjustments and USD conversions.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and local GAAP reconciliations.
• Experience preparing complete financial statements and notes.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAP S/4HANA Finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger, monthly close, and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reclassifications and reconciliations.
• Analyze risks, unusual balances and complex transactions.
• Convert financial statements to USD functional currency and assess FX impacts.
• Prepare statutory and government reports and support external audits.
• Coordinate SOX controls and internal control documentation.
• Collaborate with finance teams and regional units on issues.
• Support process improvement and automation using data tools.
