The School Nurse ensures holistic care for the Lincoln community by providing medical care, promoting well-being, and preventing illnesses and injuries to maintain a safe physical, mental, and emotional environment.
Provide immediate medical care, first aid, and emergency response management for students, staff, and community members.
Collect and maintain student health records, health forms, and communicate critical medical information to staff.
Store, administer, and document student medications following medical prescriptions and established protocols.
Monitor student illness absences and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and school counselors.
Manage Wellness Center supplies and conduct health screenings, vaccination campaigns, and epidemiological tracking.
Provide health education workshops (such as CPR/first aid), prepare medical kits for field trips, and advise foreign hires on local medical services.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field with valid professional licensure.
Fluency and effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Previous nursing experience, preferably in an educational or pediatric setting.
Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
Experience in emergency preparedness, health promotion, and crisis intervention.
Background in pediatric nursing and community health engagement.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
