Job summary

The candidate will assess student progress, communicate with families, and participate in after-hours events. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Education, current teaching certification, and at least two years of classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification appropriate to the subject and grade level.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Full professional fluency in English is required, as all classes are taught in English.
• Minimum of 2 years of classroom teaching experience.
• Experience supporting diverse learners including ELL support.
• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare classes using Lincoln planning templates, collaborating with colleagues to establish instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Prepare engaging, high-quality instruction and assignments, including materials for substitute teachers when needed.
• Create a classroom environment that supports learning and is appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
• Encourage positive classroom behavior and implement Lincoln’s educational philosophy and instructional goals.
• Align instruction with learning objectives, school standards, and the Attributes of a Lincoln Learner; use evidence-based methods.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and departments to meet the needs of all students.
• Assess student learning regularly using multiple methods.
• Provide feedback and progress reports and maintain accurate records per laws and policies.
• Maintain open communication with students and families regarding progress.
• Participate in school events outside regular hours to support learning.
• Promote intercultural competence, diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
• Uphold school policies, attend meetings, and participate in duties such as supervision and substitutions.
