Job summary

South Offices is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to support a U.S.-based client, aligning with U.S. Eastern Time hours. The role focuses on financial statement preparation, journal entries, and tax returns in a fully remote setup. You will collaborate with the U.S.

team, perform reconciliations, and assist month-end and year-end closes. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of accounting experience and a solid grasp of U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax concepts.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Able to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off.
