Job summary

South Offices is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to support a U.S.-based client. This role requires working hours aligned with U.S. Eastern Time and involves preparing financial statements, journal entries, and tax returns.

You will perform reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closes while collaborating closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off. This fully remote position offers growth as the firm invests in a long-term team structure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years accounting experience, ideally with U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax concepts.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Available during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off.
