Job summary

Ratehawk is seeking a remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to support U.S.-based clients and work aligned with U.S. Eastern Time. The role offers fully remote work with competitive compensation and potential for long-term growth.

The successful candidate will perform financial statement preparation, journal entries, tax return support, and close processes, while collaborating with the U.S.-based team for reviews and sign-off.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax preparation concepts.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off.
