South Offices is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to join a U.S. public accounting firm. The role supports U.S.-based clients with hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time and a fully remote work setup.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax concepts, and strong English communication. This position offers remote work with growth opportunities within the firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax preparation concepts.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Able to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off.
