Gbs Group is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to join a U.S.-based public accounting team. The role requires aligning with U.S. Eastern Time and supporting U.S. clients from a fully remote setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP with tax concepts. Strong English communication and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and basic tax concepts.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Collaborate with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off.
