Job summary

SupportYourApp is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global team and support clients across web, mobile, and backend systems. In this role you’ll diagnose issues, read production logs, run queries against read-only databases, and implement small fixes while escalating complex cases to Engineering.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of customer-facing technical support, strong SQL, English at C1, familiarity with PHP/JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with cloud services like AWS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer-facing technical support experience.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with production-scale relational databases.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1+).
• Ability to read code and perform small fixes in PHP/JS/TS.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) and logs/secrets management.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Analytical thinking with proactive problem solving.
• Ability to determine when escalation to Engineering is needed.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot issues escalated from T1 involving backend, databases, and cross-system integrations.
• Reproduce bugs across web admin consoles, mobile apps, and backend APIs.
• Analyze logs, error traces, and metrics to identify root causes.
• Query production databases (read-only) to validate data-related issues.
• Implement small, low-risk fixes and configuration changes.
• Escalate complex issues to Engineering with clear documentation and findings.
• Track incidents and outages through resolution using monitoring tools.
• Maintain runbooks and knowledge bases to reduce recurring escalations.
• Maintain deep understanding of client solutions and meet KPIs.
