Job summary

vidIQ is hiring a senior frontend-focused engineer to own product surfaces from UI to APIs and data flows. You’ll shape how millions of creators experience vidIQ and drive AI-enabled product development in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate across the stack, ship AI-powered features, and mentor peers in code reviews and best practices. This globally remote role offers growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Frontend strong but backend capable; design APIs, write server-side code, work with databases.
• Self-driven; able to make decisions and advance work independently.
• Owns projects from concept to completion and communicates clearly.
• Leads through reviews and mentorship, documents work, teaches others.
• Cares about product quality; leaves codebases better than found.
• Excellent written/spoken communication; explains technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Proficient with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Vite, and Tailwind.
• Heavy user of AI tools; evaluates AI outputs critically; adapts workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own product surfaces end to end: UI, APIs behind it, and data flows.
• Work across the stack to adjust backend services and data structures.
• Drive the roadmap from user feedback and data, partnering with product and design.
• Build AI-powered experiences, integrating model APIs and prompts across the stack.
• Improve architecture and performance; identify bottlenecks and resolve them.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and best practices for AI-enabled development.
• Ensure durability with monitoring, tests, and reliable deployments.
