Job summary

vidIQ is hiring a frontend-leaning engineer who owns entire product surfaces end to end, from UI to APIs and data paths. You will ship AI-powered experiences, improve performance, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software for millions of creators.

You will work primarily on frontend with strong backend collaboration, design APIs, and contribute to a responsible AI culture. This is a remote role open to candidates worldwide.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong frontend focus with ability to work on backend and API design.
• Ability to design APIs, write server-side code, work with databases, and debug cross‑boundary issues.
• Self-driven with decision-making skills and ownership mindset.
• Experience leading projects from concept to completion and mentoring others.
• Care for product quality and ability to improve codebases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Vite, and Tailwind.
• Heavy, thoughtful user of AI tools and able to evaluate AI outputs carefully.
• Keeps pace with AI landscape and is eager to try new models and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own product surfaces end to end across the stack.
• Build and modify backend APIs, services, and data flows as needed.
• Drive your own roadmap by turning feedback into proposals and partnering with product/design.
• Ship AI-powered features across the stack, including model integration and UX considerations.
• Identify and fix architecture and performance bottlenecks across frontend and backend.
• Advocate for responsible AI practices within the team and tooling.
• Review code from others and provide constructive feedback to help growth.
• Test important workflows, add monitoring and error reporting, and own what you ship.
