Job summary

Veta Virtual Inc. is seeking a Remote Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to support a U.S.-based client with hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time. This fully remote role offers an opportunity to work with a US firm and contribute to both accounting and tax functions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and strong English communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with the U.S.-based team and clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general tax preparation concepts.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Able to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Record and review adjusting journal entries
• Support preparation of U.S. individual and business tax returns
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Collaborate closely with the U.S.-based team for review and sign-off
