Job summary

Proofpoint in Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and data infrastructure, owning reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You'll build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, implement CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, while fostering strong operational practices and a great developer

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS core services knowledge (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong ability to translate operational needs into scalable infra.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data jobs.
• Manage AWS infrastructure using IaC and ensure security controls.
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable templates.
• Lead incident response and mentor junior engineers.
