Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Senior Organisational Development Practitioner to set the bar for coaching and development across the company. You will coach senior leaders to a standard of management excellence and diagnose organisational leadership needs in distributed teams.

You will work both from the central Talent Development team and embedded inside leadership groups, turning field insights into scalable development programs while supporting practitioners in the field.

Qualifications

• Hands-on coaching and organisational‑development practice with real leaders and teams.
• Track record of measurably changing leadership behaviour with concrete examples.
• Credibility to walk into a room of directors and be taken seriously.
• Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.

Responsibilities

• Coaching leaders to raise their game against a clear standard of management excellence.
• Landing hard conversations and turning 360 feedback into commitments.
• Leaving organisations visibly better led with diagnostic first-weeks plans.
• Defining and implementing new ways of working across a globally distributed company.
• Developing practitioners in the field under supervision and setting coaching standards.
• Sharpening the management-excellence standard across Canonical.
