Canonical is seeking a senior leader to drive Workplace Engineering data initiatives remotely in the AMER/EMEA regions. You will lead a product-focused squad blending data science, software engineering, and UX to transform workforce data into strategic assets.

You will shape experiments, automation, and AI capabilities that inform leadership decisions, balancing technical rigor with business pragmatism across global teams.

Formación

• Background in data science, mathematics, or engineering.
• Strong in coding/scripting languages (Python, R, JavaScript) and data visualization tools.
• Ability to translate business questions into research objectives.
• Ability to select methodologies, synthesize findings, and drive insights.
• Proven leadership to drive roadmaps with mentoring mindset.
• Willingness to challenge status quo and stay resilient.
• Ambition to build tomorrow’s AI/Data stack in open source.
• Business-level English written and spoken.
• Willingness for international travel 2–4 times a year.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a multidisciplinary squad of People Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and UX Designers.
• Bridge HR-speak and Dev-speak to align engineering with human intent.
• Move from descriptive metrics to predictive/prescriptive insights.
• Translate complex data models into compelling narratives; drive AI Agents for real-time insights.
• Ensure the People Data Stack is secure, GDPR/privacy-compliant, and a single source of truth.
• Identify opportunities to leverage high-tech solutions to maximize human value.
