Job summary

Tether is hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing for our digital finance platform. You will build and maintain automated tests, integrate them into CI/CD, and drive quality across AI-powered features.

Strong hands-on QA, exploratory testing, and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium are required. Remote work is available globally, with cross-platform testing on Electron and React Native apps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
