Sezzle is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own the evolution of authentication and authorization. You will lead the design of a gateway and identity services, mainly using Golang, AWS, and RDS, in a fully remote fintech environment.

You will mentor teams, drive security-focused architecture, and shape the auth strategy across a distributed microservices platform. A strong background in IAM and API gateways is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is required.
• Extensive backend experience with modern auth platforms and API design.
• Experience leading large-scale service migrations with zero or minimal customer impact.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for Sezzle’s authentication and authorization platform.
• Architect and build scalable, secure auth services and gateway components in Golang.
• Design and lead phased, zero-downtime migrations of auth traffic.
• Establish and evolve authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC/ABAC).
• Drive a distributed microservices architecture with emphasis on performance at the edge.
• Mentor engineers, promote secure-by-default patterns, and participate in on-call rotations.
