Job summary

Spines is seeking an experienced accounting professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries. The role emphasizes genuine technical accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve issues.

You'll handle escalated tickets, review reconciliations, assist with tax notices and payroll questions, and document resolutions. Remote work from Argentina with US Eastern Time coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional accounting experience with US accounting and taxation.
• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills; independent problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for US customer accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated and directly assigned accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations and accounting transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, filing status questions, and tax return questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email responses and scheduled calls.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Learn and adapt to proprietary platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
