Job summary

Remotejobsone is seeking an experienced Level 2 Tax & Accounting Support Specialist to provide expert support on US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll. The role requires strong accounting judgment and the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues.

Coverage includes 8:00 AM–8:00 PM ET with shifts aligned to US business hours. You will work remotely from Argentina, collaborating via Zendesk, email, and scheduled phone support.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting experience, with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Ability to handle complex tax and accounting inquiries and tax notices.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex accounting concepts to nontechnical customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for complex US customer accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax tickets.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies, reconciliations, and transactions.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing status questions.
• Support payroll questions, setup, processing issues, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate findings clearly via Zendesk, email responses, and scheduled calls.
• Independently investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
