Howard is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant/Tax Professional to provide specialized Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll, working remotely from Argentina with U.S. Eastern Time hours.

The role emphasizes technical accounting judgment and independent issue resolution. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, handling tax returns, reconciliations, and customer-facing inquiries.

Qualifikationen

• Professional accounting experience, ideally with exposure to US accounting and taxation.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping, tax return review, reconciliations and payroll.
• Experience handling complex tax and accounting inquiries in customer-facing roles.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Willingness to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialized Level 2 support for US accounting, tax, bookkeeping, and payroll inquiries.
• Investigate and resolve escalated accounting and tax issues.
• Review and troubleshoot bookkeeping discrepancies and reconciliations.
• Assist customers with tax-related inquiries, notices, and filing questions.
• Support payroll questions and processing issues.
• Communicate technical findings via Zendesk, email tickets, and scheduled calls.
• Independently identify root causes and coordinate with internal specialists.
• Document resolutions and maintain accurate customer records.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve workflows and knowledge resources.
• Adapt to new internal systems and AI-assisted workflows.
