Bionic Talent is representing a US-based Personal Injury law firm, seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to manage the firm’s day-to-day accounting and support the financial workflow from settlement through final client disbursement.

This role collaborates with the finance, case management, and settlement teams to ensure accurate bookkeeping, lien resolution, settlement documentation, and timely disbursements, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial coordination experience.
• Experience with legal settlements, liens, medical payoffs, or personal injury law firms preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial records, reconciliations, invoices, and disbursements.
• Advanced or strong Excel skills and comfort with cloud-based tools.
• Excellent written English and professional communication skills.
• Able to work independently in a fully remote environment and meet US business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage settlement through final disbursement, including closing statements and documents.
• Verify liens, payoffs, sources, and client disbursement amounts.
• Prepare wire templates and ensure accurate settlement disbursements.
• Maintain lien files, verify and update liens, and negotiate as needed.
• Reconcile bank and operating accounts; review invoices and process payments.
