Job summary

Bionic Talent is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant for a fully remote role with a US-based personal injury law firm. You will support settlement through final disbursement, handle liens, and manage accounting workflows, including invoicing, payoffs, and reimbursements.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years in accounting or financial coordination, strong Excel skills, and comfort with cloud-based AI tools. The position requires US business hours and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience within a professional setting.
• Experience with legal settlements, liens, and disbursements is preferred.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent written English.

Responsibilities

• Manage files from settlement through final disbursement.
• Prepare closing statements and settlement documents.
• Verify liens, payoffs, and client disbursement amounts.
• Prepare and maintain wire templates for payments and disbursements.
• Verify documentation and settlement checks before disbursement.
• Handle lien verification requests and maintain payoff records in Excel.
• Reconcile bank and operating accounts; process invoices and reimbursements.
