Job summary

Interstaff LLC is seeking a qualified Legal Assistant / Client Intake / Demand Writer to work remotely for a USA law firm. The role covers client intake, drafting demands, and language interpretation in English and Spanish, with duties spanning scheduling, document management, and processing retainer letters.

The ideal candidate has experience with employment and personal injury law matters, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a remote, international setup in US PST hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a demand writer, intake specialist or legal assistant for a USA law firm is required.
• Proficiency with USA legal terminology and document types.

Responsibilities

• Client Intake: Conduct initial client intakes over the phone or via email and input data into the database.
• Demand Drafting: Drafting demands based on firm templates and update templates to reflect case info.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service, build rapport with potential clients and follow up for documents and retainers.
• Document Management: Track cases, collect documents, and manage distribution of letters and retainers.
• Scheduling and Preparation: Schedule clients for legal appointments and prepare for appearances.
• Language Interpretation: Provide interpretation during interviews and translate documents from English to Spanish as requested.
