Job summary

Sezzle is seeking a Junior Software Engineer with an accounting background to join our Peru team. You will help design, build, and deploy software solutions for financial processes, leveraging your accounting experience to improve automations and reconciliations.

You will work with Golang backend and React/React Native frontend on AWS, contributing to a fast-paced fintech environment with opportunities for growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience as accountant or financial analyst.
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, reporting and compliance.
• Proficient in Python, Java or Go; familiar with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with backend API development.
• Relational database storage and retrieval experience.
• Familiar with software engineering tools, methodologies and release processes.
• Experience using Claude or similar LLM tools.
• Languages: Golang, Typescript, Python.
• Frontend: Typescript with React and React Native.
• Version control with Git.
• CI/CD with Gitlab.
• Testing: unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
