Job summary

SMS Datacenter is seeking an Executive Assistant and Technical Writer to support the Director of Engineering and engineering teams. The role focuses on tracking commitments, documenting processes, and ensuring follow-through in a technical IT environment.

The position is fully remote, full-time, long-term, with GMT-7 business hours. Candidates must apply with an English resume/CV and demonstrate strong English communication and organizational skills within IT contexts.

Qualifications

• Excellent professional English communication skills, both written and verbal (C1 minimum; C2 or native-level proficiency preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical personnel and follow up persistently
• Fundamental understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, servers, systems administration, and common IT terminology

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Engineering and teams
• Track and follow up on engineering tasks, tickets, projects, deadlines, and commitments
• Identify delays, bottlenecks, unclear ownership, missing information, and overdue commitments; escalate as needed
• Ensure engineers follow established procedures, ticket updates, time tracking, and documentation
• Own documentation of engineering and technical policies, procedures, and records
• Prepare and maintain operational trackers, reports, notes, and action items
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, accountability, and compliance
• Perform other related duties as necessary
