Job summary

World Business Lenders (WBL) is seeking an Internal Audit Team Lead to oversee audits across loan operations, post-closing, and compliance. You will supervise a pod of 4 analysts, conduct hands-on fieldwork, and ensure timely, high-quality audit outputs in a fully remote, multinational setting.

The role requires 6-8 years in Internal Audit, CIA certification, and strong English communication. Primary work hours align with Eastern Time, with potential for additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Auditing, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of Internal Audit experience.
• CIA certification required.
• English proficiency at C1 level (Advanced).
• Additional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CRMA, or CFE are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop 4 Internal Audit Analysts.
• Review audit workpapers, testing, and reports to ensure quality.
• Evaluate operational controls and compliance with lending policies.
• Assess post-closing activities and loan documentation controls.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to the team.
• Draft, finalize, and present formal audit reports to the SVP and stakeholders.
• Oversee remediation tracking and validation of audit findings.
