AgileEngine is seeking a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines powering analytics for colleges and universities. You will design data workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow, moving data from source systems into a cloud data warehouse.

Responsibilities include building scalable pipelines, extending data models, and collaborating with client teams to deliver data-driven solutions. Remote-friendly with modern tech stack.

Formación

• 3-4 years of data engineering or closely related software engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills with complex joins, window functions, and star-schema modeling.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience (DAGs, operators, scheduling, troubleshooting).
• Experience with ETL patterns and cloud data warehouse design (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows across development, staging, and production.
• Extend data models and datasets to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Adapt shared pipelines for individual clients while keeping code clean and reusable.
• Monitor production pipelines, investigate failures, and deliver fixes.
• Write and maintain database DDL, data validation queries, and deployment scripts.
• Contribute to platform modernization and adoption of new data technologies.
• Collaborate with client teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
