AgileEngine is seeking a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines powering analytics for colleges and universities. You design and maintain data workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow, adapting shared pipelines for clients while keeping code clean.

You will design, build, monitor, and optimize data pipelines, model data for analytics, and collaborate with client teams and analysts to deliver solutions across development, staging, and production environments.

Formación

• 3-4 years of experience in data engineering or related software engineering role.
• Strong SQL skills with complex joins, windows, dimensional modeling.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience (DAGs, scheduling, troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of ETL patterns and cloud data warehouse design (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Synapse).
• Git/GitLab or GitHub/Bitbucket for version control.
• Docker / Docker Compose.
• Understanding of data management concepts.
• Ability to translate client and business requirements into SQL and DAG changes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows across environments.
• Extend data models and datasets to support analytics and reporting.
• Customize shared data pipelines for individual clients while keeping code clean.
• Monitor production data pipelines, investigate failures, and provide fixes.
• Write and maintain database DDL, data validation queries, and deployment scripts.
• Contribute to platform modernization and adoption of new data tech.
• Collaborate with client teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
