AgileEngine is seeking a part-time Data Engineering & Infrastructure Lead to audit AWS architecture, CI/CD processes, and ETL decisions in an advisory capacity. You will review SageMaker-based ML workflows, mentor the team on engineering standards, and weigh managed tools against custom builds.

In this LATAM remote role, you’ll shape SDLC governance, data ingestion architecture, and provide early technical opinions on architecture while reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on AWS experience (ECS/Fargate, ECR, RDS, S3).
• Fluency with Terraform and IaC best practices.
• Proven track record auditing CI/CD pipelines and SDLC governance.
• Strong data engineering depth for ETL/ingestion architecture.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code).
• Capable of mentoring engineers in a part-time advisory capacity.

Responsabilités

• Audit AWS architecture across live apps and ML pipelines.
• Review CI/CD and SDLC governance; recommend improvements.
• Evaluate AI-assisted development workflows for cost and quality.
• Provide early technical opinions on ETL/data ingestion architecture.
• Mentor infra/build team; set technical direction.
• Report findings and risk readiness to leadership.
