Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications. Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and keep them fast and reliable.

You will investigate failures, fix flaky tests, manage test data, work with developers on testability, perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing, and participate in

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails conditions and correlate failures to bugs.
• Identify and elevate risks to quality of the product or process.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC and releases.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repos and run scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
